Private Joseph H. Stamp, 1st Battalion Hertfordshire Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 6 November 1914. As a Corporal in the regiment he was killed in action on 14 November 1916. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. His brother Corporal Victor E. Stamp, Hertfordshire Regiment, later served in the Lincolnshire Regiment. Both with copied m.i.c.
