Isaac Waugh was born in Greenhead, Northumberland and enlisted at Newburn-on-Tyne. Serving in the 20th Battalion (Tyneside Scottish) Northumberland Fusiliers he earned the M.M. for bravery in action. He was killed in action on 9 April 1917, aged 23 years. Buried in the Bailleul Road East Cemetery, St. Laurent-Blangy, Pas de Calais, France. He was the son of Isaac Waugh, of 7 Burns Close, Callerton, Westerhope, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
