George Morrison was born near Edinburgh. A Joiner by occupation, he attested for the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders at Edinburgh in May 1894, aged 18 years, 2 months. With the 2nd Battalion he served in India, December 1896-April 1902. Transferred to the Army Reserve in August 1902, he was discharged on 6 May 1906. With copied service papers and roll extracts.
