China 1857-60 (2), no clasp (A. Grenyer. Age 17.) engraved date ‘1860’ below Queen’s bust; 1 clasp, Canton 1857 (Co. 27 George Dunn R.M.L.I.) both with engraved naming, the first gvf, second with contact marks, nearly very fine (2) £150-200

Alfred Grenyer was born at Lancing, Sussex, on 7 March 1838. He served in China as an Ordinary Seaman aboard H.M.S. Pioneer.

George Dunn, No. 27 Company, Plymouth Division, served with the Royal Marine Battalion at Canton. Both medals confirmed on the roll.
