14148967 Cadet Jack Coverman was received an Emergency Commission, being appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers on 31 May 1947 (London Gazette 1 July 1947). He received a Short Service Commission in November 1948 (London Gazette 7 December 1948) and was advanced to Lieutenant (London Gazette 18 March 1949). Serving in the Movement Control Section, Corps of Royal Engineers, he attained the rank of Captain in March 1955 (London Gazette 25 March 1955). Captain Coverman relinquished his commission on completion of his service, 1 November 1960 (London Gazette 1 November 1960). With copied gazette extracts.
