Leslie Herbert Stokes Bishop was granted a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Surrey Army Cadet Force in December 1954. He was advanced to Lieutenant in December 1956; Acting Captain in April 1960, and Acting Major in July 1981. He was awarded the Cadet Force Medal (London Gazette 31 January 1967); a Second Award Clasp, serving in the Greater London (S.W.) Sector (London Gazette 27 May 1975) and Third Award Clasp (London Gazette 25 October 1983). Bishop retired on 31 August 1985 and was granted the Honorary rank of Major. Sold with copied research.
