A Great War A.R.R.C. group of four awarded to Miss Blanche Baldwin, Voluntary Aid Detachment

A.R.R.C. London Gazette 1 January 1919. ‘Miss Blanche Baldwin, Nurse, V.A.D.’ The award also listed in The British Journal of Nursing, 28 February 1920.

Nurse Blanche Baldwin, V.A.D. entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 5 October 1915. In the latter part of the war she was listed as being dangerously ill as an acute abdominal case, having had an operation at Rouen to remove a cyst. Awarded the A.R.R.C. for her services during the war, she was personally invested with the decoration by the King on 21 February 1920. With copied research.
