King’s South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps (2578 Pte. A. Scott, Rifle Brigade) good very fine £40-60

Albert Edward Scott was born in Westbury, Wiltshire. A Baker by occupation and a member of the 3rd Battalion Middlesex Regiment, he attested for the Rifle Brigade at Hownslow on 18 November 1892, aged 20 years, 4 months. With the Rifle Brigade he served in Singapore, October 1896-February 1898; Malta, February-July 1898; Egypt, July-September 1898; Crete, September 1898-October 1899; South Africa, October 1899-September 1902, and Egypt, September 1902-October 1904. For his services he was awarded the Queen’s Sudan Medal and Khedive’s Sudan Medal with clasp for Khartoum; the Queen’s South Africa Medal with clasps for Defence of Ladysmith, Laing’s Nek, Belfast and the above King’s South Africa Medal. He was discharged at the termination of his first period of service on 17 November 1904. With copied service papers.
