Henry David Stayte enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Valcartier in September 1914 and was originally embarked for France as a member of the 3rd Battalion, Canadian Infantry, in March 1915. Having then transferred to the 1st Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Western Ontario Regiment), he died of a gunshot wound to his chest on 14 December 1915. The son of the late John William Stayte of Charlbury, Oxfordshire, and Lavinia Bond (formerly Stayte) of Selly Oak, Birmingham, he was 23 years of age and is buried in Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, France; sold with copied attestation and service papers.

Guy Douglas Hamilton was born in Barnet, Hertfordshire, in April 1885 and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Valcartier in September 1914. Embarked for England in February 1915, he served as an original member of the 7th Battalion, Canadian Infantry, out in France, where he was wounded in the neck at Festubert in May 1915. Hamilton was afterwards commissioned in the British Army; sold with copied Canadian service record.

Percy Pearce was born in Truro, Cornwall, in February 1888, and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Valcartier in September 1914, stating that he had previous service in the Royal Garrison Artillery. He subsequently went out to France as an original member of the 7th Battalion, Canadian Infantry. Pearce appears to have onetime served as a Flight Sergeant in the Royal Canadian Air Force and died at Vancouver, B.C., in July 1967; sold with brief research.

Walter Frederick Tracy was born in Dorchester, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A., in June 1892, and served in the 11th Company, Coastal Artillery Corps, U.S. Army, prior to enlisting in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Valcartier in September 1914; sold with copied attestation paper.

Edward Griffiths Larson was born in Ottawa in November 1888 and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at New Westminster, B.C., in May 1915; sold with copied attestation paper.

Walter William Barber, who was born in Norwich, Norfolk, in March 1894, enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force at Lucknow, Ontario, in February 1916, stating prior service in the R.F.A. (Territorial). Embarked for England in October of the latter year, he joined the 1st Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Western Ontario Regiment), in the Field in March 1918, and was killed in action near Abancourt on 1 October. He was the son of Walter and Hannah Barber of Patteson Road, Norwich, England, and is buried in Haynecourt British Cemetery, France; sold with copied attestation and service papers.

Walter Luther Mason was born in Toronto in March 1879 and enlisted in the Canadian Overseas Expeditionary Force in Vancouver, B.C., in October 1916. He died in Toronto in November 1940; sold with copied attestation paper.
