Hubert Joseph Stanley Dearlove was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the 5th Battalion, South Lancashire Regiment, in July 1916, direct from the Inns of Court O.T.C. Embarked for France in late October 1916, he also served as a Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion.
