Edward Cantwell was born and lived in Coatbridge, Lanarkshire and enlisted at Glenboig, Lanarkshire. Serving with the 7th Battalion Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 28 June 1916. He was buried in the Bois-Carre Military Cemetery, Haisnes.
