Paul John Joe Muir enlisted at Dumbarton on 16 December 1999 He served in the Royal Armoured Corps, December 1999-February 2000 and the Parachute Regiment, February 2000-April 2005. Latterly served as a member of the Support Company in the Mortar Platoon. Served in operational tours in Iraq, Afghanistan, Macedonia and South Armagh. Transferred to the Army Reserve in April 2005. During May 2005-June 2006 he served with Securi-Force Iraq, on Convoy Protection duties and close protection work. From June 2006 he served with Saladin Security Ltd. in Afghanistan on diplomatic close protection duties.
