George Peace was born in Spondon, Derbyshire and enlisted at Derby. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 23 November 1914. He was killed in action on 19 May 1915. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial, France. With copied casualty details and m.i.c.
