Charles Seymour Reid enlisted at Gateshead-on-Tyne. Serving with the Durham Light Infantry, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 April 1915. Awarded the M.M. and Bar and Medaille Militaire for his bravery in the field. He died of wounds on 3 August 1918 and was buried in the St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen. Additionally awarded the 1914-15 Star trio. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
