José de la Mar (12 May 1778-11 October 1830), a veteran in the War of Independence. Served as the 3rd and 11th President of Peru, 22 September 1822-27 February 1823 and 22 August 1827-7 June 1829.

Ramón Castilla (31 August 1797-30 May 1867), a veteran in the War of Independence. Served as the 26th, 31st, 34th and 36th President of Peru, 17 February 1844-10 August 1844; 20 April 1845-20 April 1851; 5 January 1855-24 October 1862 and 3 April 1863-9 April 1863.
