Cole Willison was born in Bow, London. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the Grenadier Guards at London on 3 July 1900, aged 19 years, 2 months. With the 2nd Battalion he served in South Africa as Mounted Infantry, 16 January-6 October 1902. Transferred to the Army Reserve in January 1903 and discharged on 2 January 1912. With copied service papers.
