The Most Distinguished Order of St Michael and St George, G.C.M.G., a rare and early breast star circa 1818-40, 79mm diam., unsigned but of the distinctive pattern known to have been made by and sometimes signed by Storr & Mortimer, silver, gold and enamels, the central figure of St Michael on a fine translucent enamel ground, a superb piece of the finest workmanship, nearly extremely fine and very rare £5000-6000
