Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (William George Wingate), extremely fine £40-60

William George Wingate died on active service on 1 March 1917, while serving as a Private in the 1st Battalion, Hampshire Regiment. Aged 36 years, he was the son of William George and Mary Ann Wingate, of Fareham, Hampshire, and the husband of Laura Ralph (formerly Wingate) of the Cottage, Merrow Grange, Guildford. He was buried in the St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen.
