Private Thomas Edward Watling originally served with the Dorsetshire Regiment. When serving with the 8th Battalion Devonshire Regiment, he was killed in action in Flanders, on 4 October 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial. He was the husband of Helen Elizabeth Watling, of 37 Elliott Road, Brixton, London. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
