George Richard Markham lived at Bow, London and enlisted at Stratford, Essex. Serving in the 1st Battalion Dorsetshire Regiment, he was killed in action at the battle of La Bassee, 13 October 1914. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial. With copied research.
