Collection
Victor Sparrow was born in Portsea, Hampshire. He attested for the Dorsetshire Rgiment at Portsmouth on 5 April 1888, aged 14 years, 11 months and was appointed a Drummer. With the regiment he served in Malta, January 1897-February 1899 and South Africa, November 1899-April 1901. Having attained the rank of Corporal he was discharged on 11 April 1901 having completed his first period of engagement. With copied service papers.
