Christopher Thorpe Hillier was born in Swindon, Wiltshire and lived at 71 Chapel Street, Gorse Hill, New Swindon. Serving in the 2nd Battalion Wiltshire Regiment, he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 31 December 1914, aged 21 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ploegsteert Memorial. With copied casualty details.
