Second Lieutenant Alexander Edward Moir enlisted into the 23rd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers and was sent to France on 16 November 1915. Commisioned into the Royal Flying Corps on 25 October 1917, he was posted to No. 65 Squadron serving in France. He was killed in action on 26 October 1918 when his plane was shot down in flames near Essenghem.He is buried at Anvaing Churchyard Cemetery, France. Sold with a quantity of copied research material.
