Naval General Service 1793-1840, 1 clasp, Syria (Paymaster & Purser); Crimea 1854-56, 1 clasp, Sebastopol (Payr. H.M.S. London) contemporary engraved naming; St. Jean d’Acre 1840, silver (H.M.S. Hazard, Acre 3rd November 1840) fitted with contemporary silver bar suspension; Turkish Crimea, Sardinian issue, unnamed, generally very fine or better (4) £500-600

Ex MacDougall Collection 1917.

John Henry Greaves entered the Navy as a Clerk in 1833, being promoted to Paymaster in 1835. He served aboard H.M.S.
Hazard during the operations off the coast of Syria, and aboard London in the Crimea. Sold with further research.
