Royal Marine Artillery, a fine and rare officer’s rectangular shoulder belt plate c1850-1855, the burnished gilt back plate with gilt mounts, the Royal Crest with ‘GIBRALTAR’ scroll above and ‘PER MARE PER TERRAM’ scroll below, this with a grenade above the centre point of the scroll (Parkyn Fig 395), the final section of the lion’s tail missing, the mount wires replaced with pins, otherwise excellent condition £250-350
