J. H. Dunlop was wounded at Vlakfontein on 29 May 1901 whilst serving with the 48th (North Somerset) Company, 7th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry. He subsequently died of his wounds in Johannesburg on 2 July 1901. Sold with four pages of copied service papers.
