Egypt and Sudan 1882-89, dated reverse, 3 clasps, Suakin 1884, El-Teb, The Nile 1884-85 (3208 Gunr. J. Scott, 6/1st Sco. Div. R.A.) nearly extremely fine and scarce £200-250

Only 3 men of this battery earned the clasps for El-Teb and The Nile 1884-85. Two N.C.O.s and 8 gunners, including Scott, were attached to the Transport Camel Corps for the Nile campaign. This battery’s Record of Service claims that Scott was present at Abu Klea but he does not appear on the roll for this clasp. He died of disease at Cairo on 11 June 1885.
