One officer and three men of the Black Watch received the medal with clasp for Punjab Frontier 1897-98. Sergeant Munro additionally received clasps for Samana 1897 and Tirah 1897-98.

Thomas Munro was born in Stirling and enlisted at Glasgow in May 1891, aged 19 years 11 months. Sold with copy discharge papers which confirm his medal and three clasps as his only entitlement.
