Lachlan Kennedy was born in the Parish of Laggan, Inverness, and enlisted in Captain John Raitts’ Company of the 42nd Regiment in 1797. He was discharged at Winchester on 10 May 1802, aged 22, in consequence of ‘a rupture and wounds received in Egypt.’ Sold with copy discharge papers.
