D.S.M. London Gazette 15 May 1916: ‘For services in the Eastern Mediterranean Squadron between the time of landing in the Gallipoli Peninsula in April 1915, and the evacuation in December 1915-January 1916.’ Chief Yeoman of Signals Arthur Watson was serving aboard H.M.S. Lord Nelson. His service record carries a note: ‘The appreciation of the services rendered by this C.P.O. made by Vice-Admiral Morcau, Commanding 3rd (French) Squadron, to be noted on his record.’ Sold with further research.
