George Leslie Gower was born at West Ham and enlisted at Stratford, Essex. He died of wounds at Gallipoli on 16 August 1915, whilst serving with 5th Battalion, Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers. He is buried at Hill 10 Cemetery, Suvla, Gallipoli. Sold with copy of two m.i.c’s. confirming the confusion over his initials.
