4th Middlesex (West London) RV, an interesting official card dated December 19, 1899 requesting members of the Corps to register their names if they desire to serve abroad, sent by A S Daniel and addressed by hand to Mr G A Hawkes, 170 Blythe Road, Hammersmith, card posted in Kensington Dec 20 1899, together with Queen Victoria’s 1900 chocolate gift tin, this contains some straw lining, a hard tack biscuit, a silver threepenny piece (1900) and two small pieces of white flannel, some rusting and colour loss to the tin otherwise good overall condition £40-60
