74th (Highlanders) Regiment, an extremely fine silver coloured metal plaid brooch c1845-1881, the large quoit profusely engraved with thistles battle honours and regimental number ‘LXXIV’; centrally within a raised rim a multi-facetted pinkish glass ‘cairngorm’, the reverse with stout pin and retailer’s mark, ‘Meyer & Mortimer’ excellent condition £300-400
