Army Meritorious Service Medal, G.V.R., 1st issue (Sjt. J. Wheeler, 1/Linc. R.) extremely fine £150-200

M.S.M. announced in AO 18/1918 with Annuity of £10. Sergeant Wheeler served with the 1st Battalion and was discharged prior to 1881. He was still alive in 1926. A total of 47 Annuity M.S.M’s awarded to the Lincolnshire Regiment (Ref ‘The Annuity Meritorious Service Medal 1847-1953 by Ian McInnes).
