1914-15 Star (2382 Pte. G. Duerden, L.N. Lan. R.); together with memorial plaque (George Duerden) good very fine (2) £60-80

George Duerden was subsequently commissioned into the Royal Air Force. He died of injuries on 10 April 1918, whilst serving with No. 65 Squadron, when his Camel plane crashed in Western France. He is buried in Picquigny British Cemetery, Somme, France. Sold with a quantity of copied research material, including a newspaper obituary with a photograph.
