William Nicholas Moysewas born in June 1875 at Newquay, Cornwall. He served aboard the Swallow motor vessel from 3 September 1939 until 12 June 1940, when she was damaged by enemy action, abandoned, and taken as a prize by the Germans. Moyse was taken prisoner and repatriated to the U.K. in 1943, aged 68.
