Three: Gunner John Goldsmith, Royal Artillery

Crimea 1854-56, 4 clasps, Alma, Balaklava, Inkermann, Sebastopol (Gr., Rl. Arty.) officially impressed naming; Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., small letter reverse (1227 Gunr., Coast Brigde. R.A.); Turkish Crimea 1855, French issue (Gr., Royal Artillery) fitted with Crimea suspension, some edge bruising and contact marks but generally very fine, the last scarce (3)

John Goldsmith was born at Horningham, Norfolk, in March 1828, and enlisted at Scarning, Norfolk, in September 1846. He served with 5 Company 11 Battalion in the Crimea for 2 years, and was discharged at Landguard Fort, Essex, in March 1870, on reduction of the regiment and completion of service for pension.

Sold with copy discharge papers which confirm all medals and clasps.
