Provenance: Glendining, March 1999.

Samuel Collier volunteered from the Lancaster Militia to join the 3rd Battalion, 95th Foot, on 1 April 1809, for seven years. He transferred to the 2nd Battalion in May 1809 and took part in the Walcheren Expedition in August and September. Promoted to Corporal in July 1811, he transferred to the 3rd Battalion in February 1813 and was promoted to Sergeant in the following June. He served in Captain Fullerton’s Company at Waterloo, and was discharged, time expired, on 10 April 1816.
