Khedive’s Star, 1882 (4) unnamed (2); another reverse inscribed, ‘1Bks. 868 W A’; another reverse inscribed, ‘1 Bks 2215 W W’, edge bruising contact marks, nearly very fine and better (4) £160-200

Khedive’s Star ‘868’ attributed to William Anderson. He was born in Bedale and was a Clerk living in Liverpool when he enlisted at Liverpool on 24 June 1865, aged 20 years. As Private 868 in the Royal Berkshire Regiment, he served in India, August 1865-January 1875; Gibraltar, March 1881-July 1882; Malta, July 1882; Egypt, July 1882-May 1883, and Gibraltar, May 1883-June 1886. Discharged in June 1886 at the termination of his second period of service. Awarded the Egypt Medal dated 1882 without clasp; Khedive’s Star 1882 and Army L.S. & G.C. With copied service papers and roll extracts.

Khedive’s Star ‘2215’ attributed to William Witts. Additionally entitled to the Egypt Medal dated 1882, with clasps for Suakin 1885 and Tofrek. With copied research.
