India General Service 1854-95, 1 clasp, Chin-Lushai 1889-90 (2295 Pte. B. O’Hare, 1st Bn. Bord. R.) minor edge bruising, good very fine £300-350

Only 30 ‘Chin-Lushai 1889-90’ clasps awarded to regiment.

Bernard O’Hare was born in Downpatrick, Co. Down. A Miner by occupation, he attested for the 2nd Infantry Brigade at Carlisle on 14 January 1881. Posted to the Border Regiment, he served in the East Indies, December 1881-January 1890 and Burma, January-December 1890. Transferred to the Army Reserve in January 1891 and discharged in January 1893.
