Meeanee Hyderabad 1843 (Alfd. Robinson, 22nd Regt.) official engraved naming, replacement silver clip and straght bar suspension, edge bruising, contact marks, nearly very fine £600-700

Alfred Robinson, a Labourer from Leeds, attested for the 22nd Regiment at Leeds on 30 March 1841 and was discharged in Malta on 20 November 1863. He served 13 years in the East Indies and 3 years in Malta. He served in the Scinde Campaign 1842-43, being present at the defence of the residency, 15 February 1843; battles of Meeanee, 17 February 1843 and Hyderabad, 24 March 1843. Later served in the campaigns in Southern Mahratta Country, 1844 and in Peshawar, 1853-54. When discharged he was in possession of three good conduct badges and had been in the defaulter’s book six times and was once tried by Court Martial. With copied discharge papers.
