3rd Edinburgh Rifle Volunteer Corps Officer’s Shako/Glengarry Badge, Other Ranks Waist Belt Clasp, Other Ranks Shako Plate c. 1867 - 1880, the first in die stamped gilded metal features the Imperial Victorian Crown thistle sprays and circular title ‘God is our Defence E.R.V.’ in the centre a lion’s mask, the second in heavy brass is based on the officer’s 1855 pattern and features the same motifs, the third in die stamped brass is based roughly on the 1869 pattern shako plate but features the Imperial Victorian Crown over thistle sprays and enclosing the same motifs as on the first item, the two shako plates with three replacement soldered lugs otherwise very good condition (3) £300-400
