The Black Watch (Royal Highlanders) 5th Perthshire Volunteer Battalion Plaid Brooches, both of similar format but one with the addition of a QVC featuring a central rampant lion on a torse and the motto ‘Dia Agus Ar Duthaigh’, both with stout pin fasteners; together with an interesting 1869 pattern shako plate to the 42nd Royal Highlanders of standard crowned laurel pattern with central Garter and pierced numerals ‘42’ stated by the late owner to have been submitted but not issued, good overall condition (3) £100-150
