Malcolm Craigen was born and lived in Inverness and enlisted into the 1st Battalion Cameron Highlanders as a Boy at Fort George on 14 September 1904. Appointed a Bandsman in November 1906. He entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 April 1915 and was killed in action on 3 September 1916, aged 26 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He was the son of R. Craigen, of 759 Bilsland Drive, Glasgow. With copied m.i.c. and casualty details.
