The Oxfordshire Yeomanry (Hussars) entered France on 22 September 1914 on the strength of the General Headquarters. They were soon deployed as part of 2nd Cavalry Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division (31 October 1914), then with 4th Cavalry Brigade, 2nd Cavalry Division (11 November 1914).

Private William A. Nunn, Queen’s Own Oxfordshire Hussars/Oxfordshire Yeomanry, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 September 1914. Later served with the Corps of Hussars. With copied m.i.c.
