Meeting, Bisley, 1890, Won by Veterans of Clifton Coll., Lieut. E.S. Sinnott, Lieut. C.S. Sinnott, Lieut. James, Major Pearse, Major Tombs…Bisley, 1899, Major Tombs, Lce Corp. Stone, Cap. E.S. Sinnott, Lieut. Rigden, Lieut. Soames), both 66mm [2]. About extremely fine, toned, very rare; both in maroon fitted cases of issue (£80-100)

The Major Tombs named on the medals is believed to be Major S. John Tombs of Droitwich, formerly of the Worcestershire Regt, whose important collection of war medals and decorations was chiefly dispersed at Glendining’s in 1918
