France, Union des Sociétés d’Instruction Militaire de France, c.1900, a bronze medal by H. Dubois, seated female watching troops engaged in rifle practice, reverse figures representing the Republic against the background of a brick wall, 50mm (BM Acq. 1983-7, pl.38, 58; cf. DNW 35, 657 for reverse); together with a bronze plaque for the same event, by H. Dubois after F. Rude, similar, 50 x 39mm; Les Sports, 1902, a bronze medal by M.-A.-L. Coudray, female Victory indicating the route to success for a young athlete, reverse bicycle and rifles in foreground, targets in distance, balloon above, legend in plaque (Le Français, Marche des Boursiers, 21 May 1903), 68mm (PBE 265; BM Acq. 1983-7, pl.35, 30; cf. CGMP p.104 [different rev.]; cf. DNW 47, 1127) [3]. About extremely fine and better, all nicely patinated; second in original maroon fitted case (£50-60)
