Edward I (1272-1307), Groat, London, variety d, mm. cross pattée, crown with tall central fleur and spearhead ornaments, rosettes by hair and on breast, trefoils in spandrels, no abbreviation marks after dns and aqvt, 5.52g/9h (SCBI North 10; N 1009; S 1379D). Gilt both sides but no sign of mounting, good fine, rare £2,000-3,000
