Royal Red Cross, A.R.R.C., G.VI.R., the reverse officially dated 1943; 1939-45 Star; Africa Star; Defence & War Medals; General Service 1918-62, G.VI.R., 2 clasps, Malaya, Cyprus (Capt., Q.A.R.A.N.C.) mounted as worn, good very fine £250-300

A.R.R.C. London Gazette 18 February 1943: ‘In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in the Middle East during the period May 1942 to October 1942:- Miss Florence Ratcliffe, Sister, Queen Alexandra’s Imperial Military Nursing Service (Coventry).’

Florence Ratcliffe was appointed Sister in August 1939, and became Captain in June 1944.
