Georgina Mary Cecilia Murphy served initially as a Driver with the 284th (London) Voluntary Aid Detachment, British Red Cross Society. She landed in France on 30 October 1915 and worked with the Le Treport Ambulance Convoy, transferring to the Balkan theatre of operations where she was employed as a Chaffeuse with the Scottish Women’s Hospitals.
